About Us

We are the Turing Jr. Foundation, a nonprofit passionate about bringing technical skills to students in poor environments.

Our philosophy

We believe that people aren't poor because they are lazy or dumb, but because they were caught in the poverty cycle, unable to climb out because of the lack of adequate education necessary to get high paying jobs. We seek to break this cycle by providing lessons in coding and tech that is necessary to live in a technology driven future.

We believe everyone is a coder. We use Scratch, a simple and fun block based coding platform, to engage kids, and then move on to programming languages used in industry such as Python, Julia, and Swift.
